Knights of Columbus Awards

On the evening of Saturday July 9th, our Knights of Columbus Council #10614 hosted their annual Knights BBQ.  It was a delicious steak and chicken dinner with Baked Potato and Caesar Salad! MMMM!    At the dinner a number of the Knights were recognized for their service.  

Dennis Busca was honoured as Knight of the year.  Dennis has been very involved in the Squires program, the Santa Parade Float,  and has also been the person who cuts the beef for the steaks for the annual BBQ!!!  Congrats Dennis!

This year our council has been helping in the formation of a new council in St. John's Caledon East.  That process begins with the establishment of a "round table".  Pat McFarland and his wife May were honoured as Family of the year for their strong commitment to the new round table in Caledon East.

Finally Bert Markovic was recognized for his years of service on the executive of the Knights - as Treasurer.  Bert served 16 years as treasurer (1996-2011) and is the longest serving executive officer in the same position in the council's history!  Thank you Bert for your dedication (and to your wife Nancy who really helped!)
