Departing to China

The feast of Mary the Mother of God on January 1 brought the arrival of my family to the rectory for some time together before their departure for China on January 2.
Chris, Michael and Maria were driven by my Dad, and we had a nice Roast Beef dinner Wednesday evening, and a full breakfast with Bacon and Eggs Thursday morning.

This picture is of the three of them standing shivering at eh back of Dad's van before headin g to the Airport Thursday Morning.
They experienced a 35 degree swing in temperatures!  From -19 C to +16 C when they landed in Shanghai today!

They have less than a month of School - before they are off at the end of January for Chinese New Year.  They are hoping to get to Bali during that 2+week break!
They are such generous givers - they seem to have given me a cold before I travel next week to South Africa...
Peace

  1. Welcome home from Africa, Fr. Larry!!! I see you didn't do anything on your blog while you were away!! We really enjoyed all the pictures you posted on Facebook, but we are so glad you are home. We miss our wonderful pastor- it's just not the same without you around here. :)
