Edge Camp - 2015

We had another very successful Edge Camp. The theme this year was Inspire[d] and the camp had a terrific energy and was completely full. Over 450 people - 375 campers - 70 leaders - and 6-8 priests - depending on the day!

At Camp we have a Chapel with the Blessed Sacrament and a Statue of Our Blessed Lady!

I always thought that the Associates had the time off when the went to Camp- but it seems more than ever now I realize that being at Camp is alot of Work! We are up at 6:00 AM for a team meeting at 6:45, and the leaders don't get to bed before 12 Midnight most nights! Fr. David was quite busy with a number of funerals in the Parish - and I had one on the Tuesday after we returned on Sunday.

Holydays

Our Holysdays Camp completed another successful year - our 5th summer of Holydays! On Friday we marked the end of Camp with a BBQ at the home of one of our Co-Ordinators. There was terrific enercgy and excitement among the staff and counsellors - even after 6 weeks of Camp!!!
Our Counsellor of the Year was presented with a Trophy at this dinner - Laura Mangiapane!

This week in the Leger household!

This week is an important one in the Leger / Shanahan / Tremblay / Lockhart household! 
August the 4th is MY anniversary of Baptism. 52 years ago today - it was a sunday that year - I was Baptized at St. Leo's Church in Mimico (now south Etobicoke).

Today is also the feast of St. John Vianney - the Patron Saint of Parish Priests! So it is quite an awesome date to have as a Baptism Anniversary!

August 6th is the 10th Anniversary of the Marriage of my sister Julie to her husband Ian! 

August the 12th is the 9th anniversary of the marriage of my brother Chris to his wife Maria.  

Lots to celebrate in Faith and in Family! I will have the chance to spend some time with Family this week - on Wednesday and Thursday - and to also see my Aunt Leona - my Mom's twin sister who is visiting Sharbot Lake this week!
